Rodney is a former MLS veteran and champion with a distinguished career spanning top-tier competitions, including the 2018 FIFA World Cup, multiple FIFA World Cup Qualifiers (2014 & 2018), CONCACAF Champions League, CONCACAF Gold Cup, and the 2015 MLS Cup Championship. His collegiate success includes winning the NCAA Division I Men’s Soccer Championship and being part of Generation Adidas.
Beyond the pitch, Rodney is a dynamic and insightful broadcast analyst for CBS, FOX, FOX Deportes, ESPN, and MLS. His expertise extends beyond match analysis, as he engages audiences as a host and personality for Concacaf, Soccerex, FOX Deportes, and more.

Rodney Wallace isn’t just another coach—he’s someone who has lived every level of the game, from youth soccer to the professional ranks and the international stage. His journey is one that few can match, having experienced firsthand what it truly takes to develop into an elite player.
He has been coached by some of the best minds in soccer, including Patrick Vieira, and has shared the field with and against footballing icons like David Villa, Andrea Pirlo, Kaká, and David Beckham. This exposure to world-class talent and coaching philosophies gives him a unique perspective that goes far beyond the textbook approach often seen in youth soccer today.
Rodney understands that much of what is preached in youth soccer to parents is not the reality of player development. He knows that true growth comes from instilling passion, fostering creativity, and ensuring players don’t burn out before they even have a chance to reach their potential. His coaching philosophy is rooted in real-world experience, not just theory, helping young athletes develop the skills, mindset, and love for the game needed to succeed at the highest levels.

COACH LUCAS
Joining the Views FC coaching staff is Lucas, a seasoned Swede with an impressive soccer pedigree and a passion for youth development. Lucas, husband of Angel City FC superstar Ali Riley, brings years of experience as a player and coach:
Playing Career: Nearly 300 games as a semi-professional center back, with 12 years as club captain.
Coaching Expertise: From his roots at his club’s youth academy in Malmö to working with top coaches and players in Los Angeles, including Sydney Leroux, Claire Emslie, and his wife Ali Riley.
Lucas shared his enthusiasm:
"I’m thrilled to join Views FC. My goal is to help this club grow and develop the future stars of soccer so they can achieve their dreams. I focus on movement on and off the ball, first touch, and passing and shooting technique. I can’t wait to see our players thrive."

JUSTIN VOM STEEG
Views FC Welcomes Justin Vom Steeg to the Coaching Staff!
Bringing elite-level experience and a deep passion for player development, Justin Vom Steeg joins Views FC as a dedicated goalkeeper coach. A former professional player with a background in both the U.S. and Germany, Justin understands the technical, tactical, and mental demands of the position.
🔹 Playing Career: A 7-year professional goalkeeper, Justin played for Fortuna Düsseldorf (Germany), LA Galaxy, and Portland Timbers, competing at the highest levels in both Europe and Major League Soccer. He also represented the U.S. Men’s National Team at all youth levels, gaining invaluable experience in high-pressure environments.
🔹 Coaching Expertise: Justin has worked with goalkeepers of all ages, from youth players striving to make their club teams to high school athletes preparing for college recruitment. His training sessions focus on refining fundamentals, improving decision-making, and building the confidence needed to excel.
